What one has to compare is the strength of the extract. In our own comparisons, we have found our products to work out a great deal cheaper. Generally, the lower the strength, the more you have to take. With our products, they are of the highest potency which means you are taking less. This is nearly always the case when comparing our products with what is available on the high street or from some offshore web shops that also have UK office addresses. Some of these products are of such low strength they would have no effect whatsoever!

To date there have been no adverse effects.  The only herb that may make a difference is St. John’s Wort. Antibiotics can also have an adverse effect on the pill.

Generally, these products contain only minute amounts of Kombucha, they are full of sugar and have no enzyme or amino acids and very little vitamin content.  All will have been heat-treated or pasteurised which kills off any goodness that there might have been. We do not even recognise these products as healthy drinks.  A course of our Kombucha would work out at less than £1 per day.

The herbal extracts contain only a small amount (15-20%) to help stabilise the product, compared to tinctures that contain up to 65% (and in some cases more) alcohol. Our Kombucha tonics contain less than 0.5% alcohol. 

The probiotic drinks generally recondition the body from the inside out, detoxing the body tissues, promoting good health.  Lewtress Kombucha has been proven to contain glucuronic acid, this element acts like a liquid magnet collecting toxic heavy metals such as lead and mercury from the tissues and ridding the body of them.

Glucuronic acid is also a component of cartilage, and so supports healthy joints and tendons.

The concentrates are designed to target more specific problems.  All are based on Kombucha culture extract to enhance the effect of the various herbs.

For long term use, Horny Goat Weed.  For nervousness and exhaustion, Damiana.

Unlike conventional medicines, herb based products have little or no side effects at all, generally not an issue.

These products are designed to be used straight for best effect, if the taste is too strong then add to a small amount of water or fruit juice (except Echinacea).  Avoid food or drink for twenty minutes or so before and after consuming.

Horny Goat Weed can actually help maintain normal blood pressure and in most cases, the blood pressure tablets could actually be reduced. Regular monitoring is necessary (consult your doctor).

Quite simply, try halving the recommended intake or take less frequently.
